Meet our mate Oscar ‘Craney’ Cranefield.

Oscar is Finn the Phoenix’s right hand man and lifelong VERY bestie.

Oscar was there from the very start, at the tender age of a year, to the very end, the long, hot, summer of year 6, but ALWAYS ALWAYS when it mattered most.

Oscar is one cool dude - super kind, super thoughtful and always so much fun and Finny sure was blessed with his bestie!

Since Finn’s death, in 2018, Oscar has continued to be the superstar, we all know and love, by continuing to get all fired up:ding, in memory of Finn, to fundraise and support other children, with a cancer diagnosis, just like his best friend.

Oscar is Finn’s ‘brother from another mother’ and Aoifé is Finny’s heavenly, little ‘sister from another mister’.

Now, Oscar, wants to join our Bubble Buddies and do his bit to remember and honour our little Aoife, forever missed and eternally cherished, on what would be her 8th birthday.

And, as always, he is aiming high, and we are BEYOND fricking proud of him!!

For, on Saturday 13th of January, at Battersea Park, Oscar ‘Craney’ Cranefield be taking on the bat-shit crazy challenge…of bungee jumping 160ft!

Yep, you heard right! ‘Craney’ will be suspended from a crane, 160ft up, when he takes a big leap of faith, pushing any fears aside, in memory of our little ginger queen.

I’m not gonna lie, it’s not been f**king easy writing this post, and each time I’ve tried, I’ve been reduced to tears.

Sadly, Oscar knows only too well that, sometimes, real superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles…

And we know, only too well, that there are superheroes living in the great, big f..k off hearts of big kids, fighting the biggest battles, for our small children.

Oscar, you may only be 16 but we want you to understand the gravity of your gesture and, we want you to know, just how much we admire and are inspired by, your epic bravery and courage. You may only be 16, but you have always been a mountain of a man, in our eyes. We love you, big guy xx
