The annual New Year’s Day Dip, held at Abersoch main beach is back again and this year, all participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress under the theme of “Anything that begins with R,N,L or I".

How you can help save lives at sea?

Come and join your fellow dippers, as we brave the chilly North Wales waters on New Years Day. This event is in aid of the RNLI, raising funds to help our Lifeboat crews to continue saving lives at sea.

Once you have signed up to the challenge, set up your fundraising page by selecting the 'Start Fundraising' button on this page and ask your friends and family to support this crazy challenge. Downloadable sponsorship forms are also available.

Event Details

Assembly is on Abersoch main beach from 11.30 onwards, where all registered participants will check in and assemble ready for the countdown to the 12.00 midday entry into the sea under the guidance of the RNLI crew, local coastguard, and volunteers. Registered participants can then collect their medals before retiring to the Yacht Club or village for celebratory food and drink. The event is open to all age groups and is the perfect way to welcome in the New Year.
