Story
In November 2017, Imogen was airlifted by air ambulance to Alder Hey Hospital, where her parents received the devastating news that she had a brain tumour. She spent a month in Alder Hey, while her family travelled back and forth just to be together through such a difficult time. After this, Imogen travelled to Germany for further treatment.
Over the years, Imogen continued attending regular check-ups at Alder Hey with her amazing medical team, and after fighting so hard, she reached an incredible milestone of being 8 years clear. Sadly, during a routine check-up, the tumour was found to have returned.
Imogen was back in Alder Hey Hospital for a month, facing more challenges and bumps along the road, Imogen finally got discharged home for a few days before having to get airlifted back over to alder hey for more bumps in her road and another operation for couple of weeks.
To help support Imogen and her family during this incredibly difficult time, her grandad will be walking around the Isle of Man, visiting all the dairy farms along the way — a journey of approximately 102 miles.
He will doing his south route of the walk on Tuesday 4th August and will do his north route on Saturday 8th August. If you happen to see him along the route, please give him a cheer and some encouragement!
Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to the family and is hugely appreciated so they can give back to alder hey so they can continue their amazing work to help other families.
