Story
During the summer of 2021 I (Alex) volunteered at a charity shop run by the East Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH). With me on the shop floor were a number of fellow volunteers who, by the end of my relatively short tenure, had left a lasting impression on me. Moreover, as time went on I became more aware of the extraordinary work carried out by EACH.
EACH allows parents of children with life-threatening conditions to make the most of the time they have together. Through numerous hospices and the expertise of care professionals they are able to provide vital support to parents who may never get to see their children grow into adults. To the children themselves EACH offers dignity, comfort and care in the most holistic sense.
There are few things in the world that can be called 'absolute goods', that is to say there are not many causes or institutions that so clearly align with the principles of kindness unto others, selflessness and caring for the ones we love. I believe I am justified in saying that EACH and the work they do are absolute goods. For this reason I urge you to support our fundraising campaign in whatever way you see fit. All proceeds go towards EACH.
I thank you for your time,
Alex
