I met Kate from Kyiv, in Ukraine when she had to leave her family due to the war and came to live with us. It opened my eyes to the struggles faced by so many suffering in war torn countries. Kate became an integral part of our family, sharing her culture with us whilst still dedicating time to support relief efforts back home. It was through her that I learned about the incredible work of 'Ukraine Relief'. When the opportunity arose and Karol invited me to participate in the Bournemouth Half Marathon 2024, I felt like it was one of the best ways I could show my appreciation to Kate and the efforts of all the volunteers helping those in need in Ukraine. The goal of this fund-raising is simple - to provide much-needed heating and resources for schools in Ukraine, where government support is limited due to the ongoing conflict. Your donation will make a significant impact on the lives of these children, offering them warmth and educational tools they desperately need.
