Our gorgeous son Harry would have been turning 21 on the 2nd October. These big birthdays seem all the harder and mark milestones that we’ll never have with him. Harry was a perfect baby, 9lb 5oz of long legs and hands that should’ve played the piano, but there were other plans for him and for us.

I’m raising money with a few events this year in his memory, running for SANDS who help so many bereaved parents. It seems fitting to run the Chester Marathon so close to his birthday for him.

Training has been a tad hard and I’m not ready for this, but I run with amazing friends and with my wonderful family supporting me we’ll get across the finish line! The next challenge is the Wirral Ultra in November.
