Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana provides safe and enriching environments for young people after school, offering programs focused on academic success, character and leadership development, and healthy lifestyles. Serving over 8,000 youth annually throughout their 10 Clubs in Lake and Porter Counties, they are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

A bit about me...

I am a dynamic educator, coach, mentor, and community leader with over two decades of experience working with youth across educational, athletic, and faith-based settings. A former WNBA player and Hall of Fame inductee, I bring a unique blend of discipline, resilience, and inspiration to every space I enter. I currently teach at West Side Leadership Academy and serve as Head Girls’ Basketball Coach, where I mentor young women both on and off the court.

I am the co-founder of the Hamblin Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering girls through sports, leadership development, and mentorship. I have organized landmark events such as the MLK Girls Basketball Classic and the TrailBlazer Awards, honoring pioneers in girls’ athletics. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and am a passionate advocate for equity, character development, and spiritual growth. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or behind the pulpit, I live by the belief that everyone has the capacity to rise, and my life’s mission is to individuals flip the switch and activate their inner genius.

As a Clubhouse Hero during the 2025 Clubhouse Hero Challenge from May 25 to June 8, I am competing against other local leaders to see who can raise the most funds to support bright futures for our region’s youth. If I win, I will deliver on a special promise for the kids at one local Club. Your contribution gives our region’s children the tools to become the superheroes of their own stories!
