The Mayor of Amber Valley Borough Council Councillor Steve Marshall-Clarke is hosting a Christmas Raffle to raise funds for his chosen charity, The Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre.

The Mayor is hosting a raffle to raise funds for his chosen charity The Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre. There are over 25 prizes up for grabs!

The Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre has been providing holidays to Skegness for disadvantaged children for over 130 years. For the children that attend the centre, a holiday is a rarity or a one-off. The holidays give children the opportunity to make new friends and contribute to their education and life skills. I have supported them for a number of years and have seen the positive impact that it has on children who attend, including young carers.

The Centre have had to pause holidays for children in 2025 due to increase in costs and are hoping to reinstate holidays from April 2026 so donations are more important than ever.

The top prizes include £100 cash donated by SC Travel, a luxury hamper, 2x Tickets for Derby Comedy Club, a £50 voucher to spend with uncovered Derby and £30 voucher to spend at Anila Restaurant in Ambergate

There are also 2 tickets to a Derby County Match, complimentary tickets for a tour around White Peak Distillery and a family ticket for the Great British Car Journey museum.

The draw will take place on Tuesday 16 December 2025 at 1.00pm in the Council Chamber and everybody is welcome to attend.

Raffle tickets cost £1 each. Please see a member of the Democratic Services team on floor 2 at the Town Hall to purchase tickets with cash or donate to the JustGiving page to purchase tickets by BACS, please include your name in the donation message and your tickets will be emailed to you.
