A Bench for Every Story - Supporting Suicide Prevention and Community Wellbeing
Brixworth Parish Council is raising funds to install a Legend on a Bench at Spratton Road Wellbeing Park — a place designed to offer comfort, reflection and hope for anyone affected by suicide, mental health challenges, or the loss of a loved one. The bench will provide a quiet, supportive space where people can pause, remember and feel connected to others who have faced similar experiences. It will stand as a visible reminder that no one in our community is alone, and that support, understanding and compassion are always within reach.

The bench includes details of organisations that can help, listen and support anyone who may be struggling. With practical helplines displayed directly on the bench, support is always accessible — a reassuring presence for those who have been affected in the past, and for anyone who may need help in the future. A built‑in light acts as a gentle beacon, offering comfort and visibility regardless of the time of day support is needed, symbolising that someone is always listening.

This is a community‑focused project: the fundraising target represents 50% of the total cost of purchase and installation. Once this target is met, Brixworth Parish Council has resolved to fund the remaining amount, ensuring the bench can be delivered for the benefit of the whole community.
Every donation goes directly towards creating a meaningful focal point for wellbeing, remembrance and support within Spratton Road Wellbeing Park.
