During the past 5 years, there has been an overwhelming increase in the recognition of how mental health can seriously effect someone and how important our mental well-being is, a lot of emphasis has been put on making mental health services accessible to those who need it in general society and breaking down the stigma around seeking help. However, despite the sudden increase of mental health awareness and additional support, some people still do not feel confident in that support.

Men working in Construction are so often associated with characteristics depicted as 'manly' and, therefore, could adapt to a 'men-don't-cry' mentality which could prevent them from seeking for help to regulate their mental health and unfortunately for some, these issues become worse and can even lead to suicide.

The Lighthouse Club's mission is that no construction worker or their family should feel alone in a crisis. They are 100% dedicated to the construction community in the UK and Ireland. We at Calcon Projects Limited have chosen to raise funds for The Lighthouse Club to support their cause and will be part-taking in the 2023 Dragon Boat Racing at Willen Lake (Milton Keynes) and would appreciate any and all support.
