Lynch syndrome, also known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), is an inherited genetic condition that increases the risk of developing several types of cancer. It's the most common cause of hereditary colorectal cancer. People with Lynch syndrome have a higher chance of developing certain cancers, often before age 50.
