By fundraising for us, you’ll help to fund 50% of Velindre’s clinical nurse specialists. Our CNSs are the backbone of providing holistic patient care whilst also driving innovation, service improvements, staff and patient education and effective multidisciplinary communication across teams. Your fundraising will also make opportunities like the Healthcare Cancer Research Fellowships possible. These charity-sponsored fellowships are awarded to health professionals at Velindre not typically funded in research, so they can undertake transformative projects to deliver exceptional patient care. As well as research opportunities, you’ll support initiatives like the Velindre Oncology Academy, which offers cancer-specific education to the entire cancer workforce across Wales.
