Thank you for visiting this page! Colleagues of Cheshire East Council are volunteering in the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge on the 6th September 2024. The total distance covered on the day will be 24.5 miles reaching a combined elevation total of 2153 meters or 7063 feet!

Some colleagues volunteering in this event are completely new to mountain walks and for all of us it will be an amazing achievement.

In testing ourselves for this event, we are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK and would appreciate any donations towards an amazing cause. Please see below some facts about what your donations could do for those suffering with Cancer.

£30 Could cover the cost of a lung cancer trial for one day

£50 could fund a research tool at the forefront of science

4 people giving £100 would cover the cost of running Cancer Chat for 1 day

All of this could fund genetic tests that help researchers to understand how drugs fight cancer cells and hopefully one day find a cure.
