I have supported the work of Tearfund for about 30 years and as a volunteer have visited partners and seen for myself how people have been lifted out of physical and spiritual poverty.

Churches that thrive, not just survive

Every pound raised from the Big Quiz Night will support Tearfund's Transforming Communities programme, helping local churches around the world lead their communities out of extreme poverty and into a sustainable future. This is about local people creating lasting change for themselves.

We have a vision to see hundreds of thousands of thriving churches transforming communities around the world – but we need your help. By taking part in Big Quiz Night, you can be one of the 500 churches we want to see signing up to help bring an end to extreme poverty.

Come and join my on Saturday 15 November for a great evening including a Pie and Pea Supper (already paid for) at 7pm, followed by the Big Quiz. All funds received will go to Tearfund.

I would suggest that a voluntary donation be made of £15 per participant as that amount would support a family of 5 people.
