Story
This September I am going to walk 87 miles from east to west along the Hadrian’s wall path in memory of my beautiful Mum Marcia who we lost 3 months ago.
My Mum was a very special, kind and gentle person who was loved by her family and friends. She is missed so very much.
Marcia bravely faced renal disease for many years and was a grateful recipient of a renal transplant 12 years ago.
My Mum would always want to help others and even when her health was poor she supported the NKF and other local renal charities.
The NATIONAL KIDNEY FEDERATION is a charity run by kidney patients for kidney patients, the charity supports 3.5 million people with Chronic Kidney Disease and 60,000 patients who have end stage kidney failure. The charity also supports Dialysis and Transplanted patients and their carers.
The NKF offers a National Kidney Patients Helpline 0800 169 0936 offering medical information leaflets, help and advice - with trained staff answering around 200 calls a week.
