Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In Aug 29th 2025 I will celebrate 10yrs since I completed my round of the Munros (282 hills) in Scotland. A journey that took me 18yrs to complete and what a journey it was with many challenges but it was the most incredible journey and feeling. When my inspirational mum died I promised her I would finish them in her memory 😢 and duly did Aug 2015. I was very fortunate to never need Mountain rescue help but over the years have seen the many challenges and challenging work they have done and all voluntary. The teams in Scotland are truly exceptional and are out dealing everyday of the year in all conditions without any rewards. I thought I could do a little something to help raise some money to help them to pay my respects to there truly inspiring courage, so on 22nd june I will play weather permitting 73 holes of golf ⛳️ at my local club in Peebles to raise what I can with the help of you all who read this to which I thank you most sincerely. The reason 73 holes is to match the 73km my incredible wife Caroline swam the length of Lake Geneva in Aug 2024 in 25hrs 25mins of constant swimming 🏊♀️ my superhero 😀 ❤️ I had hoped to do a 150 mile cycle through the night 1st before starting my golf but injury and life have got the way of training for that, but I will endeavour to do this later in the year after more training 😀 I wanted to give something back to the rescue teams of Scotland for there incredible work which is sometimes so very hard as they have to recover some loved ones who have sadly not come back from there journey 😪 but there are many many more incredible rescues that end very happily 😀 they are truly and incredible group and teams of superhuman heroes 😀 🙏⛰️🏴
