Hello!

Lots of you will already know our story and know a lot about our beautiful Raphe. For those who don't, Raphe is our first child, who was stillborn at 41 gestation last May. I don' think we even really knew that something like that could happen, it totally devastated us and we've spent the last few months learning how to live in a new life without Raphe physically here but forever in our hearts.

Raphe was a chunky baby who barely fit into any of the 'new baby' baby grows we had for him (luckily we had some larger ones too!!) He had tons of dark brown hair and his Dad's cute but grumpy face. We spent the most precious time with him thanks to Abigail's Cold Cots. The specialized cot allowed Raphe to be with us the entire time we were in the hospital and allowed us time with him to make many precious memories.

We've made it our goal this year to raise £2,800 to purchase one in his memory. We've already raised money through 'Letters from Santa' fundraiser and had some incredible donations.

About Abi Cooling Cot from Abigails Footsteps

The Abi Cooling Cot is a refrigerated unit that allows families to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible. The cooling cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process. The cooling cot is supplied by Abigail's Footsteps in partnership with The Bond Group. We have delivered cots to over 100 hospitals and hospices in the UK and Ireland so far. It is our mission to encourage all bereavement suites in hospitals to have at least two cooling cots.
