Story
Mum always said the RNLI volunteers were heroes — and she was right. She and Dad supported the RNLI for decades, giving monthly and topping up whenever they could. Wherever they went on holiday, if there was a lifeboat station nearby they would visit, donate, and thank the crew in person. It mattered to them deeply.
Cathy and Ian both studied in Brighton and Cathy and her family still live there. Cathy says:
"Living in Brighton, we see firsthand how essential the RNLI is. We have visited the stations at Newhaven, Brighton and Shoreham, and every time I’m struck by the same thing: these volunteers run towards danger so others can come home safe."
The RNLI is one of the most extraordinary organisations in the UK. Their lifeboat crews launch in storms, darkness and impossible seas. Their lifeguards watch over millions of beachgoers every year. Their safety teams and educators work tirelessly to stop accidents before they happen. They save lives - quietly, bravely, relentlessly.
And they rely entirely on donations.
If you choose to give, no matter how much, you’re helping keep lifeboats fuelled, crews trained, and families reunited.
Thank you for supporting something that Mum, Dad and our family care about so deeply.
