I've taken on the challenge of running the Vienna Marathon 2024 for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. I was introduced to this amazing charity when my wife Amelia was nominated for an award by a parent who had lost a newborn baby. At the awards event, I met many of the incredible patrons and volunteers of the charity and heard numerous emotional stories.

Sands operates across the UK, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care, and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
