Josh's fundraiser for Cardiac Risk in the Young

Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
On the 5th of September 2024 whilst on his way to work, at the young age of 31, my good friend Max Oliver suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and the medical staff were unable to resuscitate him both on the scene and at the hospital.
In early 2024 I had said I would love to run a marathon in 2025 and I’ve decided it would be a brilliant opportunity to raise money for a charity that is very important to me.
Max was a top bloke and everyone who had the privilege to meet him would agree. I have some very special memories with him that I will forever look back on and smile.
Please donate anything you can, it would mean a lot to me and everyone who loved him x
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
