Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
My Prostate Cancer journey started with a blood test in December 2018, with regular monitoring since.
On 17 February this year, following an MRI and biopsies, I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer - one of thirty-five samples showed signs of cancer. It threw me initially but I am glad it has been found and I'm confident in my surveillance programme.
(NHS have been absolutely brilliant)
What I would stress is that my condition is non-urgent at this stage and requires monitoring rather than immediate treatment.
60 miles in November will not be hard - an average of two miles a day - there will be longer walks. 😁 Rather it's the principle of raising funds that may help others.
Prostate Cancer Research are dedicated to creating brand new prostate cancer treatments. Prostate cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK and 11,500 men die from the disease every year. People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments, and research is the only way to turn this hope into reality.
Their vision is clear; a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer. I’m part of #TeamPCR because I share this vision. Will you help me support their research?
