Story
As part of Loxley's ongoing partnership with Farms For City Children, staff members are taking part in the 24 hour Welsh Three Peaks Challenge. This involves the team hiking up and down: Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan within the same 24 hour period! This totals around 2334m of ascent over the 17 mile journey.
Loxley support this particularly charity because Farms for City Children offers a transformative experience for children and young people to access an immersive farm residential and become farmers for a week, with rewards that last long after they have returned home. During a five-day school or group visit to one of the stunning farms in Devon, Gloucestershire or Pembrokeshire, children and young people thrive. The holistic programme enhances learning, nurtures wellbeing and builds transferable skills as our young farmers grow lasting connections with food, farming and each other.
