Story
This June I am planning to bike from Lincoln to York (200 miles!) to raise money for Become, the national charity for children in care and young care leavers.
In my time working with Become, I have the privilege of working alongside young people with experience of the care system. Their insight, honesty, and determination to push for change shape everything we do. It’s a real honour to watch them campaign to change the system and push for something better for all children in care and care leavers.
Through our work, I’ve heard first-hand how instability, sudden moves, and lack of support can affect young people’s education, relationships, and sense of security. Become exists to make sure they’re not facing these challenges alone, and that their voices lead the conversation about change.
Every pound will help fund life-changing support and powerful campaigning. Together, we can make sure a young person has someone to turn to when things feel tough, and help amplify their voices to drive the change they want to see in the care system. If you can, please chip in to support. Your donation will go a long way.
If you can, please consider donating. Your support really does make a difference.
