Story
In May 2026 I will be taking on the challenge to trek a remote section of the Great Wall of China, in aid of Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust.
I will be spending 5 days trekking for up to 7 hours per day. Not only will I be trekking steep uphill and downhill sections of the wall, I will also be trekking through wild and remote landscape. I am nervous of heights which adds a certain layer of excitement to the challenge.
I have decided to take on this trek because I had a significant birthday last year and wanted to celebrate that in a meaningful way, and give myself a challenge to aim for during 2026. I have also always wanted to go to China so this is a real once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
