I’m running the Plymouth 10K to raise money for Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity.

I’m also using this as an opportunity to get back into running, and it felt right to do that while raising money for a cause that genuinely matters. As a dad, I can’t begin to imagine what it must feel like to be told that your child has cancer. It’s a sentence that would stop any parent in their tracks, and one that no family should ever have to face alone.

Hugs supports children under 18 and their families across the South West, offering practical and emotional help when life is turned upside down. From care packs and family events to respite and the chance to connect with other parents who truly understand, their support makes a real difference at an incredibly difficult time.

Running the Plymouth 10K is my way of doing something positive and giving something back. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Hugs continue their vital work and support families when they need it most.
