In June 2025 we (Milly and Soph), will be embarking on a bike-backing tour like no other; the end to end! 15 days, two bikes, one tent and lots of giggles…

Friends since school, Soph’s experience cycling northern France and Milly’s blind enthusiasm leaves no where else to go but the famous John O’Groats to Lands end cycle!

The 1000+ km will surely bring us some high highs (2000ft) and low lows (we’re imagining rain, or wrong turns, or flat tyres, or probably all of the above). Reassured, we will be embarking on this smooth and downhill cruise home to Bristol (+300km to the actual end) with the aim of raising money for Shelter UK.

The importance of shelters work is incredibly pertinent in Bristol;

- 21430 households on the social housing waiting list, a 7% increase in a year

- 15% increase of people sleeping rough

- 1899 children homeless and in temporary accommodation

Nationally, in the last year 15,975 households received advice from our emergency helpline, while the online advice and support pages saw 7.1 million visits.

Any contribution is incredibly valuable, our target is to raise £1000 and every penny will help! The money will be used in lots of different ways by shelter; £56 could answer 2 calls to our emergency helpline for two families who are in urgent need of help, £157 could pay for legal advice to help a family in crisis keep their home.
