Medical Life Lines's tennis fundraiser for Ukraine Charity

Medical Life Lines Ukraine is raising money for Ukraine Charity

Tennis Fundraiser for Ukraine! · 28 June 2026

Ukraine Charity was established in the UK by volunteers in 2007 to support disadvantaged children and young adults in Ukraine. Since full-scale Russia`s invasion in February 2022, Ukraine Charity is also fundraising for emergency medical supplies to be delivered to Ukraine.

Story

Thank you for visiting our page - we really appreciate it.

MLLU has been delivering ambulances to save lives in Ukraine since very nearly the first day of Russia's full-blown invasion in February 2022. Since then we have delivered 130 aid-filled ambulances and other emergency services vehicles and aim to deliver a further five during the 2026 Championships.

Ukraine and its health and emergency services continue to suffer from relentless attacks. Drone attacks that destroy civilian ambulances. Artillery attacks on maternity wards and hospitals. Ukraine's civilian authorities are beginning to build these underground but life goes on above ground - including "double tap" strikes (where one missile hits a civilian building, the emergency services race to rescue the wounded and another missile is timed to strike so as to kill the emergency services workers). All of these actions are war crimes.

MLLU delivers ambulances to all parts of the emergency services in Ukraine as well as to groups such as NGOs who evacuate ill or immobile civilians from villages under threat. MLLU is the largest international NGO donor of ambulances to Ukraine's Ministry of Health and fourth overall (behind the South Korean and UK states and Ukraine's domestic state charity - we are ahead of organisations including the WHO).

Through its network of trusted contacts MLLU identifies verified and distinct needs, sources the aid to meet these needs (which can range from clothes and medical supplies to tools and generators - even dog food) and then hands it directly to those who will use it. No ineffeciency, no middle men.

Please do consider helping us in whatever way you can.

Our second hand ambulances typically cost about £15k to buy, repair, equip, insure and deliver to Ukraine but the one on display here cost some £22k simply to purchase (but is very special!).

Some people reading this will be in the fortunate position of being able to sponsor a whole vehicle (possible with your company branding?) or be connected with a charitable trust keen to find reliable ways to help with Ukraine's humanitarian crisis. Please do donate to support us or connect with us via our website.

JustGiving asks for a tip when you look to pay. They also take a modest % of each donation so don't feel that you need to do anything. You can choose the level of the tip that you give and enter 0 if you like ...
