This year, I'm not running alone. I'm running with and for my incredible friend, who is taking on this marathon in memory of her brother, Russell – known lovingly as 'The Big Bell' or 'Grit'. We’re doing this together, side by side, in honour of him and everything he stood for. Grit was full of life, passion, and determination – a true inspiration who took on marathons and Ironmans like they were Sunday strolls. This run is for him, and for my friend, whose strength through unimaginable loss is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Together, we’re running with grit, for Grit.
