Every child deserves an education and all children in Uganda value education above everything else, and many know that their future is determined by whether or not they remain at school ..

Over 25% of children in Uganda drop out of secondary school for many reasons including the fact that girls are likely to attend school less or drop out altogether during their menstrual cycle with many not returning. Many are embarrassed or feel ashamed in front of others due to a lack of education on sanitation & hygiene. Secondly, there is often in-adequate infrastructure and resources available at schools in Uganda to ensure that whilst these girls continue to learn, they do not get all the help and support they need.

At Nyakagyeme secondary school in Rukungiri, through Mission Direct we want, as a team to raise £12,000 to finance the building project and help restore girls' dignity providing new toilets and sanitary rooms.

I am very fortunate to be able to return to Rukungiri again in late October this year to help support this project above. All costs for the trip have been met by myself but In helping with fundraising for the project itself, I have taken the running challenge to go from "Couch to 5K" in 9 weeks starting from late July .

I am aware many people have supported me previously with fundraising so I do ask for those who feel led to support, only the minimum contribution would be greatly appreciated .. Thank you everyone .. Neil
