Ride and Stride 2023 - Nick Perry

Ride+Stride 2023 - Nottinghamshire · 9 September 2023
The Ride+Stride event has been organised by Nottinghamshire Historic Churches Trust (NHCT) annually since 1991. Participants attempt to visit as many churches as possible between 10 am and 6 pm on 9th September by riding (on a bicycle/horse) or striding (walking/running) between them. All sponsorship money raised is shared equally between NHCT (towards the provision of grants for maintaining historic churches in the county) and the participant’s own church.
Last year, I visited 48 churches (including all in our own parish of Wiverton in the Vale), raising around £1100 for NHCT and St John the Divine, Colston Bassett.
This year, having previously visited most of the churches between Loughborough and Newark, I am hoping to visit churches in the north of the county, and I would greatly value your support in this venture.
I shall be donating the 'own church' portion of the sponsorship money to the St Mary’s Church renovation appeal, which is aiming to raise about £30k for necessary repairs to this historic ruined church in Colston Bassett.
If you would like to sponsor me, you can choose to:
● fill in my ‘physical’ sponsor form if you see me in church
● complete an online sponsor form (and I will arrange to collect any payment after the event)
● contact me using my details on the parish Who's Who page
● donate a fixed amount through the JustGiving site (click Give Now on this page) - please note that if you do this, you will find that the default option (in the blue box) is to make an additional contribution of 15% of your chosen amount to help fund the JustGiving platform. If you are comfortable with this, just accept the default; if not, you can select 'Other' and enter any amount from £0 upwards.
Many thanks for any help you can give.
