Story
I’m riding this sponsored bike ride from Fareham to Paris with some friends, Lee Cutler & Bob Hockless, to raise money for one of my son’s charities - Families of Ocean Ward. My son Lenny was born with a condition called Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome. He was diagnosed with it at the 20 week scan. This is a condition where the side of Lenny’s heart that pumps the oxygen hadn’t developed. At that point, we were advised to terminate the pregnancy as only 1 in 3 children survive the 3 operations needed. Lenny has had 2 open heart surgeries out of the 3, but also suffered a stroke after his last operation from which he has recovered very well. When Lenny has his third open heart surgery, at Southampton General Hospital, the Ocean Ward will provide care through his recovery. So please give what you can to support this amazing charity.
Thank you so much.
Perry.
