Hello and thank you for being here.

I’m Pfeiffer Georgi, professional cyclist, 3 times British National Road Race Champion and a proud Ambassador for Action Medical Research – and I’m fundraising alongside my dad, Peter.

Cycling has always been part of our family life. Some of my earliest memories are of riding together – Dad encouraging me, fixing punctures, taking me to races and showing me the joy of the open road. That support has carried me from those first wobbly miles to racing at the very top of the sport.

Together, we use our cycling to support Action Medical Research

Why Action Medical Research?

As an Ambassador, I’ve seen how Action Medical Research transforms children’s lives. They fund pioneering studies to help babies born too soon, children living with rare diseases, and families facing heartbreaking diagnoses. Their track record is remarkable – from helping introduce ultrasound scans in pregnancy, to breakthroughs in vaccines and treatments that are now part of everyday care.

For Dad, this cause strikes an especially deep chord. Before coaching and supporting my cycling, Peter spent 15 years at the BBC making science programmes – many of them medical films. He saw first-hand how research can change outcomes and give families hope. Action Medical Research’s mission to back the very best science for children resonates powerfully with his past.

My connection with Action Medical Research is important to me. I’ve had the privilege of attending the charity’s flagship Champions of CycleSport Dinner for the last four years, joining legends of the sport to celebrate cycling and raise vital funds. It’s a highlight of my year – a chance to meet supporters face-to-face and witness just how strongly this community rallies behind the cause. I also go on as many fund raising rides as I can - a great favourite being the Davina Rides.

We know what determination can achieve in sport. Imagine what the same determination can achieve in the lab – with the right funding behind it. That’s why this matters so much to us.

A Family Effort

Although I’m leading this page, this is very much a team effort. With my racing platform, and Dad’s lifelong passion for science and cycling, we’re combining our efforts to raise awareness and funds for children who urgently need new hope.
