Story
In short, and without sounding too much like a hippy, after a challenging year (understatement), I have decided to do the hair cut cleanse thing. I am not going for a full shave, but there will be clippers involved.
You may have noticed my hair growing for some time now in preparation, and now it is just long enough (30cm minimum donation) and I cannot now wait for it all to be gone so I don't have to continually brush it to stop it turning into a birds nest.
Whilst I didn't intend this to be a fundraising event, I realise that the charity below need money to make the wigs just as much as they need the hair + it ensures I go through with it!
It costs around £550 per wig to make, which includes the making, fitting and styling so any contribution we can make towards this would be excellent.
Please feel free to donate - or just hold me to my word that I cut it short enough for the hair to be donated.
About the charity:
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
