Ascent to Base Camp Everest · 29 March 2024

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

4 years ago during lock down I decided to sign up to complete Everest Base Camp. Along the way I dragged Chris into it. Now that time has come and with seven friends and family members myself and Chris Holland are of on an adventure of a life time.

Our aim is to land safely in Lukla, then make our way up and down, over 12 days trekking 136 km and climbing to Everest base camp. We decided to split money raised between Alzheimer's and MIND, both charities that mean a lot to us both.

You are welcome to keep track of us as we carry out our journey through social media links which will appear closer to the time.

In the mean time we welcome your support.
