SARAC ( sexual abuse rape advice centre) is a well established, specialist charity based in Burton on Trent dedicated to providing support, information and education to anyone affected by Sexual Violence, Abuse and Rape. SARAC was formed in 1994 by a group of local women who were appalled at the lack of support for people dealing with the aftermath of childhood/adulthood sexual abuse and/or rape. SARAC’s objectives include the delivery of specialist, face-to-face emotional support, ensuring all supporters are trained to a high standard, and are managed and supported to a high standard. We also provide education and awareness sessions, training and consultancy.

Story

On 23rd February 2025 I will be jumping out my comfort zone, quite literally, skydiving over Airlie Beach in Australia to raise money for SARAC (Sexual Abuse Rape Advice Centre).

SARAC, based in Burton upon Trent, is a lifeline for survivors in Staffordshire. They provide free, confidential services to all genders ages 11 and over who are affected by childhood trauma from sexual abuse and rape.
