Story
I don't know if you realize this, but Spokane County continues to have the highest rate of domestic violence in Washington state. This year, YWCA Spokane is on track to receive 6,000 calls to our emergency helpline - that's a 2,000 call increase from last year.
I'm putting this out there to help cover these additional calls, because every single one represents someone reaching out for safety and support. It costs just $25 to support one emergency call with trained advocates.
And $25 doesn't just fund a phone conversation. It funds the moment everything changes. The moment someone experiencing intimate partner domestic violence hears "You called the right place."
That's the moment they learn they're not alone. The very moment they take their first step toward reclaiming their life from the abuse that has previously defined it.
Will you help me cover one call to the 24-Hour Emergency Helpline with a gift of $25? Two calls? Four? Together we can ensure no call for help goes unanswered.
