Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I started knitting again seriously last January and since then I’ve discovered what a fun hobby it is, and I’ve knitted some nice projects. I am taking part in the November knitting challenge in memory of my mum, who died of vascular dementia and multiple sclerosis, and who was the amazing mum who taught me to knit when I was small. I thought I could do this as a way to help anyone who is going through dementia which is a truly horrible disease. If you feel you could donate any amount, no matter how small, it would be so kind of you and I will also be making a donation myself to this charity
Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. At the end of her life, Mum didn’t know who I was any more. I’d like to help other people so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
With your help, this could become a reality, so thank you so much for reading this far.

Well, the month is done, and I’ve knitted every single day, even days when I was having trouble like the day I burst a tyre on a rock while visiting a yarn shop in Barrowford! Even the day when I felt really sick. Even the days when my cat was very poorly and at the vet’s on fluids. (He’s not better yet.) Thank you for reading this far, and thank you so much for thinking about dementia and the people who need help from a charity like Dementia UK. Xxx
