In a bold (and arguably questionable) move, I’ve signed up to take part in Strictly Seashell - which means learning to dance… properly… and, most concerningly, sober.

I’m doing this as part of Brazen’s 25th year, where we’re focusing on giving back, not just looking back - and this felt like the perfect way to challenge myself while supporting an incredible cause.

Seashell Trust has been Brazen's charity partner for over a decade and is a truly life-changing charity that supports children and young people with the most complex disabilities, along with their families. For many, Seashell is a lifeline - providing specialist education, care, and opportunities that simply aren’t available elsewhere.

Having spent every Saturday for the last couple of months learning my gruelling routine, I'm (now) very aware that what I lack in height, I don't make up for in either flexibility or cardiovascular health and there’s a very real chance I’ll make a complete fool of myself in front of a room full of people. But if that helps raise awareness and vital funds to support the incredible work Seashell does every day, then it’s more than worth it.

I’m aiming to raise £10,000, and every single donation - big or small - will make a genuine difference.
