I try to do this every year, and I'm excited to do it again in 2025. The world's on fire but I still think we can make a difference. They say that hope is optimism with a broken heart, and what's more powerful than a teenaged rock n roller with a broken heart??!

This year I'm trying to raise $625, which is 25 times $25. If 25 of you give $25, that will go a long way toward continuing to create an empowering & supportive community for self-identified girls, trans & gender expansive youth in music.

Why this, why now? The camp says: "We’re doing everything we can to protect what we’ve been able to offer youth at Bay Area Girls Rock Camp — and to carry forward Rock Camp’s 16-year legacy of grassroots organizing that has built something truly special: a space where young people can lead, experiment, create, and feel powerful through music."

They can’t do it without us — and without our support, they may not be able to continue this vital work at all.
