World Goth Day is celebrated on May 22nd every year, and we will be celebrating as well. We at The Cathedral VR joining KAITEN for an evening celebrating the diversity across the gothic sublculture and lifestyle. We'll also be using this oppotunity to promote a charity that directly impacts our community, The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. They are a memorial group that goes to schools and other community functions and festivals across England and Wales to advocate for victims of hate crimes, educate against intolerance in the alternative subculture, and also go hand-in-hand with other lgbtqia+ and racial hate crime groups in England and Wales. This is a small foundation that does good work not only across the pond, but everywhere that the gothic and alt lifestyle reaches to, which is all over the globe. We'll have a link to their donation page available for you to access in the venue tomorrow for the event, and implore you to support this lovely charity in a celebration of what brings us together: this beautiful culture we're part of.
