Story

Can you help Ward 26?

We are a regional neuro-rehabilitation ward based in James Cook University Hospital. Our ward works with patients whom have sustained a life-changing acquired brain injury, have neurological conditions or trauma injuries. Patients can stay with us for up to six months!

We have fundraisd to develop a tranquil garden courtyard with comfortable seating and beautiful shrubbery. This has supported so many patients and families over the months they spend on our ward. Our next vision for the ward is to raise funds to purchase patio doors leading directly from the patients bays into our tranquil garden courtyard. This will enable patients to have time away from their hospital bed and enjoy fresh air with easy access in their wheelchair. It will make a huge difference to patients who have physical disabilities.

Thank you for your generous donations. It will enable us to enhance patient experience and well-being on Ward 26. We are proud of our fundraising which has enabled us to go above and beyond what the NHS routinely provides.

Whether it’s state of the art equipment, pioneering research or increased staff training, we’re committed to helping our local NHS go further.
