I am so lucky to have such a wonderful yoga community in East Morton in Yorkshire. My amazing yogis, and their fabulous friends took part in a half day Yoga Event on 29th November. We were joined by my friend and mentor Julie Seymour, from Yoga Luna.

As a Yoga Community, we all believed that this time our focus should be on the terrible situation in Gaza. All money raised is going to the British Red Cross: Gaza appeal. They work closely with the Palestinian Red Crescent on the ground, where they have been for many years.

The ongoing conflict and situation in Gaza is catastrophic. On 22 August, the IPC (Integrated Food Security Phase Classification) declared famine in parts of Gaza. Aid is desperately needed. Food supplies are virtually gone and the medical system is in ruins.

The Gaza Crisis Appeal will support people in areas affected and those potentially affected in the future by this crisis. Gift Aid claimed on donations received in response to this appeal will be used to fund the whole of our work. In the event there are surplus funds raised for this appeal these will be used for the general charitable purposes of the British Red Cross.
