Story
Hi there, Sarah and Paul here.
We are currently undergoing the training towards the Manchester Marathon. It has been Sarah's dream to run a marathon, but she isn't a fan of running. It is Paul's joy to run, but he isn't a fan of running a marathon. However, our motivation for taking part in this marathon and running it is our desire to raise money for the charity Home for Good. Home for Good is a charity whose vision is for there to be a home for every child who needs one. Their interest in raising the awareness of the need of fostering and adoptive parents in the UK, as well as their vision, is something both of us want to see happen.
Our passion towards young people and children cannot ignore such an important cause and so we want to see this vision become a reality. In order to help aid their efforts, we are aiming to raise £700 for this charity by taking part in the marathon. We ask that you would help us in achieving this goal and help Home for Good use your donations to build further towards their vision.
As part of this run we are taking part in Home for Good's campaign, 'Mile for Every Child'. This campaign challenges runners to collectively run a total of 35,000 miles as part of the fundraising - a mile for every child who will come into care this year. The distance we will run in the marathon will contribute to this total.
In addition to donations, we ask that you provide prayer and words of encouragement for us. This is a big challenge for us which is beyond our comfort zones - but we want to achieve this knowing that we are doing it for Home for Good.
Thank you for all of your support.
Paul and Sarah
