During the pandemic Captain Tom stepped up to support the NHS Covid-19 by taking on his famous walk and inspiring millions to donate. We are offering the chance to raise funds in the spirit of Captain Tom for the charity of your choice.

Story

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities. Captain Tom stepped up to help, taking on his famous walk to support the NHS.  I will be celebrating the extraordinary spirit of Captain Tom my way and help my chosen charity, A Bit of a Break. 

With the next 100 eggs laid  by our 4 little hens, I’m forgoing our favourite omelettes and quiche, and instead baking cakes to donate to deserving people in our community. Who doesn’t enjoy a homemade cake?!

A Bit of a Break is a portfolio of unfilled time in self-catering cottages to offer families dealing with terminal illness. Our aim is to continue to increase the number of stays so that we can open-up the chance of a short break to growing numbers of people. It is inspired by Angela Sturgeon.
