Story
Gooday!
For my 40th it seemed like a good idea to cycle the Tour de France, so on Saturday 25th July we set off from the Eiffel Tower in Paris on a 2600 km cycle following the centenary 2003 route of the infamous Tour.
My younger and somewhat less good looking brother Gareth has chosen to get his revenge by joining me on the tour and making me cycle faster than i otherwise would. We are both well up for the challenge. Mum & Dad have generously agreed to support us all the way around, though my request for a Swedish Soigneur has yet to be agreed!!
We have chosen to raise some money on the way and this will go via the Wooden Spoon charity to a specific project at Rainbow House Legacy Project in Mawdsley, Lancashire which is aiming to build a sports facility for kids dealt a pretty difficult set of cards in life through mental, physical disability or genetic disadvantage. It is a great cause that we are both delighted to support!
Our recent dinner in Southport has already raised nearly £20k and we hope to raise another significant amount with your support on this ride.
Many thanks to all of you who visit this page and make a donation, you are stars, thank you!
