A group of us from Piranha’s Tri Club have decided to face the ‘Welsh Dragon’ with the added challenge of fundraising for a fantastic local charity Hospice of the Valleys - providing specialist palliative care free of charge to patients, carers and their families who need it most in Blaenau Gwent. Some of us have had relatives receive support from the Hospice and its a great way to give something back. 

We will be participating in Ironman Wales, a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26 mile run and all to be completed in 17 hours. Known on the circuit for its pristine (jellyfish) waters, hilly, scenic and challenging bike ride and run to top it off.  Ranked as one of the top races in the world, it’s not for the faint hearted.  The supporters on the day are tremendous but your support and donations will give us even more motivation to succeed.  So let’s show this dragon what we’re made of!
