Story

So as this is the 2nd year you can read the full story as to why at:

In 2018 we raised £7,100! We asked for this to be spent on staff CPD. Below is a flavour of some of the things the money, so far, has been spent on:

  • 8 staff members attending the Britsh Association of Critical Nurses conference (normally only 2 of 200 staff would attend!)
  • 4 nurses, 1 consultant, 3 out reach nurses attended the Patient Safety Conference
  • 10 nurses attending Complex Ventilator and Tracheostomy Weaning study day
  • several months of 1x per fortnight Music in Hospitals and Care visit patients in critical care - this involves musicians playing personalised music on the unit to patients as research shows that this can reduce delirium
  • A donation to the on-site chapel

We'd love to continue to give to critical care team as, if you ever find yourself in the predicament my family did, you'd want these AMAZING people looking after you.

We would like to say a massive thank you to all 30 runners and everyone who is supporting us.

So any little amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go towards saving lives!

Our most sincere thanks,

All the family.
