Story

Thank you for visiting Birdwatch's fundraising page for the Priolo (Azores Bullfinch).

Birdwatch has become a BirdLife Species Champion for this critically endangered species and would like to invite you to donate money to support its protection. All funds raised through this page will go directly to BirdLife.

There are only a few hundred Priolos left, all on the Portuguese island of São Miguel in the Azores. Urgent aid is needed to restore and manage their habitat of which little remains.

SPEA, the BirdLife partner in Portugal, is already helping the Priolo and you can read about what they are doing on their webpage. More information about the Priolo can be found in the April 2008 issue of Birdwatch and on our website at www.birdwatch.co.uk.

Many thanks for your support.
