Because the trip to the Nurburgring in September 2015 was an awesome experience. On the 4th September 2021 I will again be driving from the U.K. to the Nurburgring in Germany in my BMW E46 323 Ci SE Coupe where I plan to take on the infamous 12.9 mile circuit again. Raising money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND/ALS) research In conjuction with Racing4MND.org

I am using The Just Giving Website to ask for your help in donating to help cure Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for The Heaton-Ellis Trust (Registered charity no. 1126534) 

The impacts of Motor Neurone Disease affects old and young alike, it can occur at any age to people who are normally fit and healthy and they don’t know why.  However recent advances in research have given hope that a cure to the disease is imminent.  Additionally, this research will help to advance a cure for Parkinson’s disease; Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis and Huntington’s disease will also benefit from the genetic research undertaken. Younger generations with MND could be the first with hope of a cure. But without funds, the possibility of a cure will continue to remain a distant dream for many generations to come. It should be noted that The Heaton-Ellis Trust has no overheads and all donations are matched by 3x from corporate funding.   

As an ex-racing driver myself The Nurburgring has always been a circuit I have always wanted to drive. So this journey is not just a great way to raise money for a very deserving Charity it's a personal challenge as well.

The car will have Cameras mounted to record the journey and track time. I will also be keeping my Website, Twitter and Facebook pages updated throughout the journey.

The car will have some logos displayed. But, if there are any companies or organisations that would like to help sponsor the journey with some help for Fuel, Ferry/Train and Track Time I would be happy to display your logo(s) in a prominent place on the car.

When I was Racing Mini 7's a few years back I was sponsored soley by BBC Radio Bedfordshire now (3 Counties Radio) I am hoping to talk to them about promoting this trip on the radio. (See Pictures)

It doesn't matter how much you can afford to donate to this great cause whether its 50p, £1 or £100 as every penny that is raised will go towards helping find the cure for MND.
