Story
Firstly - welcome, your time reading the below is genuinely appreciated by us all, but your money matters more......
January 2016 will be memorable for many reasons we are sure, but for three intrepid fund raising explorers, it will forever be consigned to the 'we really did that' memory bank. Arriving in Chennai on the east cost of India, they have a simple task prior to embarking on a journey that will end up in Goa on the West Coast 10 days later, with only 24 hours to complete it. Covert a Hindustan Ambassador Taxi into an archetypal English Country Public House – picture that place you love to take a walk to on a Sunday for a smashing roast and pint of local ale, that’s the place. Why, with such a treacherous journey ahead of them, woud they even think of complicating it so much we hear you ask – well that my friends is the Dumball………
Celebrating its 10 year Anniversary, the Dumball is a fund raising, fancy dressed, non-stop party from Point A to Point B, bringing joy and confusion to all the indigenous people enroute in equal measure. Sounds nuts right, it is !
Richard Heather, Dave Rogers and Gary Cragg have, after much deliberation, decided to take it on in the name of charity. To spice things up a bit (not the best reference considering the location and resulting digestive complications), we have set ourselves a target of £15,000.00 to be banked for Teenage Cancer Trust prior to our departure on 7th January 2016. To do this we need your help, pretty please ? We are organising some fund raising events between now and the ‘off’, so please keep your eyes peeled for information on these. But, just in case you can't make one of these, we encourage you to donate and thus help us, help them :)
